​Touching Base Network c.i.c is unique in its focus on black and Asian men age 40 and over. We are a much-needed comprehensive support service to a group that is often overlooked. As a black company ourselves we understand the challenges black men face in this age group, an our goal is to help them overcome these obstacles and reach their full potential to lead fulfilling lives.
Our group sessions will be facilitated by black males and volunteers whom members can relate to.
We strive to ensure our meetings combine by face-to-face and online sessions are available to all. And everyone is respected and heard, to build a better community of support. We will achieve this goal by providing an inclusive, safe, and supportive space for our clients to share their experiences and discuss their issues without fear or judgment.
Our sessions will provide practical advice resources and information on how to access services in the community. As well as emotional, social, and mental health support. This will illuminate isolation, and anxiety/depression to encourage them to meet with others and to promote social inclusion and increase engagement.
We will run a variety of workshops and programs focusing on relevant and meaningful topics within the community. Such as health and wellbeing 9, housing, personal/career development including job training, educational job opportunities, entrepreneurship, etc financial empowerment, relationship building skills and confidence building skills.
